The War of Aepholia was a war between the Nation of AUTM and the village of Aepholia that occurred in the 25th of May, 2024. (Late Spring of 13 BEC). The war was declared following Aepholia's refusal to accept AUTM's ultimatum.
Declaration[]
The Nation of AUTM had tensions with Aepholia in the past. Aepholia was well-disliked among Atlas, and most nations had no qualms about the conflict. Additionally, AUTM had inner tension as the more bloodthirsty of their members begged for conflict. The ultimatum in question was sent from Wolf_pack678, the AUTM leader, to RedIsRich, the Aepholia leader. It also detailed Aepholia paying AUTM tribute weekly. A few days prior to announcing the ultimatum, two AUTM members as well as the player YugiMagic4U had placed several signs threatening Aepholia with raids and conquest if they did not surrender to AUTM. RedisRich, the Aepholia leader, accepted the ultimatum at first but then changed his mind soon after, rejecting the ultimatum in favor of war.
Preparations[]
The night before the war, Imperium officially broke their NAP with Olympia to aid Aepholia, opportunistically taking a side in the battle due to their hatred of AUTM. Wolf_pack678, in response, paid Stones $10,000 for military assistance.
The war was officially declared at 12 PM PST. Waviest_Mantis, the military leader of AUTM promoted ad-hoc, led RotnBrainCells, the Olympia king, akaSneakydeer, and Destructech to Altai Shan's warp point, the latter two only being clad in enchanted iron and the first two suffering from equipment shortages. Wolf_pack678, the AUTM leader, Shadow_Nova401, the Terra Sicar leader, as well as Hydrolnix of Terra Sicar and Waviest_Mantis's (now divorced) wife, as well as Deadfreeze, leader of Deadfrost all also showed up. In addition, Elbenos, an Olympia member, was positioned on horseback near Aepholia, ready to charge into the battle, carrying 50 llamas and 2 polar bears with him. Exnihilio, a member of the neutral Court of Santoria, joined the war on AUTM's side due to their ties with AUTM. Finally, 2 Stones members, including Soccer777, the Stones leader, arrived at the Altai Shan warp point.
Meanwhile, in the northern outskirts of Aepholia, surrounding the exit of the Altai Shan highway to Aepholia, were 3-4 Imperium soldiers, one of them Gmaster2, the Imperium leader. In addition, RedIsRich was the sole Aepholia member to fight in the war.
Starting the War/Warfare[]
The 9 AUTM members and 2 Stones members who had arrived via the Altai Shan warp point gathered together, readying themselves for the coming bloodshed. Two Seadogz members, one of them Zoltam, the leader of Seadogz, also arrived in the Altai Shan warp point, seemingly to pick up the remains of the battle like scavengers. Wolf_pack678 hesitated for the call to charge, and Elbenos mistakenly charged too soon, leading to his early demise. Waviest_Mantis eventually yelled at Wolf to charge, and Wolf complied this time. All the soldiers gathered in Altai Shan immediately charged to Aepholia via the ice highway.
The soldiers were immediately greeted with Imperium blades as soon as they arrived near the vicinity of Aepholia. Shadow_Nova401 mistook akaSneakydeer for an enemy player, and Destructech began to fight Shadow_Nova in an attempt to help their friend. They were also using a Ragnarok shield, which only made the situation more confusing. Destructech was swiftly cut down with iron armor, and akaSneakydeer soon fell to Imperium as well. Wolf_pack678 and RotnBrainCells also died quickly to Imperium. Hydrolnix and Waviest_Mantis then arrived to the ice highway. Waviest_Mantis traded hits with FrostT_T, one of the Imperium soldiers for a bit, but then changed opponents and was quickly overwhelmed by RedIsRich, dying due to a pearl. Hydrolnix then fled and mourned the death of her husband.
Suddenly, in a change of events, the two Stones members burst through the ice highway. Together with Exnihilio, Deadfreeze, and Shadow_Nova, they successfully killed Gmaster2, FrostT_T, and RedIsRich. The rest of the Imperium quickly retreated. Soon afterwards, all the dead AUTM players arrived back one by one and retrieved their gear.
However, Seadogz then arrived and killed a couple of AUTM players. This was stopped, though, when AUTM negotiated with Seadogz.
Aftermath[]
AUTM commemorated their victory on the ice, then withdrawing back to their homes. Although this was a victory for AUTM's side, it was mainly due to Stones that they had won, and their reputation of having a poor military did not change much. Elbenos of Olympia quit after the War, and was considered a war hero by many AUTM members.
RedIsRich denied the AUTM victory and annexation due to the Stones interference, and agreed for him and Wolf_pack678 to duel over Aepholia a few days after the battle. Red suffered from lag in the duel and was killed by Wolf_pack. After this, RedIsRich consented to being annexed by AUTM and it officially joined AUTM, but not without the battle being forgotten.
