Depending on the situation, they may receive a different punishment for the same crime they have committed. In general, these punishments will be the baseline laws for every land in AUTM, including cities, towns, villages, and forts.

1.0: Raids[]

1.1: If a citizen raids a land in AUTM, they will have to return all valuables, money, and gear they obtained from the raid and will be temporarily banished from AUTM for a period of 1-5 days. Failure to return these items will result in the banishment being extended to Treason.

1.2: If a citizen raids a land AUTM is allied with, they will have to return all valuables, money, and gear they obtained from the raid and pay a fine of $400 to the Leader of AUTM, Co-Leader of AUTM, or Leader(s) of their land. Failure to pay this fine or return these items will result in temporary banishment from AUTM for a period of 1-3 days, as defined by the Leader of AUTM or Co-Leader of AUTM.

2.0: Thievery and Larceny[]

2.1: If a citizen steals from another citizen in AUTM, they will have to return all valuables, money, and gear they obtained and pay a fine of $200 to the Leader of AUTM, Co-Leader of AUTM, or Leader(s) of their land. Failure to pay this fine will result in temporary banishment from AUTM for a period of 1-5 days, as defined by the Leader of AUTM, Co-Leader of AUTM, or or Leader(s) of their land.

2.2: If a citizen steals from an ally in AUTM, they will have to return all valuables, money, and gear they obtained and pay a fine of $100 to the Leader of AUTM, Co-Leader of AUTM, or Leader(s) of their land. Failure to pay this fine will result in temporary banishment from AUTM for a period of 1-5 days, as defined by the Leader of AUTM, Co-Leader of AUTM, or Leader(s) of their land.

2.3: If a citizen steals from a government building or a community building in AUTM, they will have to return all valuables, money, and gear they obtained and pay a fine of $300 to the Leader of AUTM, Co-Leader of AUTM, or Leader(s) of their land. Failure to pay this fine will result in temporary banishment from AUTM for a period of 1-7 days, as defined by the Leader of AUTM, Co-Leader of AUTM, or Leader(s) of their land.

3.0: Murder, Griefing, Tampering, Toxicity, and Other Causes for Treason[]

3.1: If a citizen murders another citizen in AUTM, they will have to return all valuables, money, and gear they obtained from the murder and pay a fine of $300 to the victim. Failure to pay this fine or return these items will result in temporary banishment from AUTM for a period of 1-3 days, as defined by the Leader of AUTM, Co-Leader of AUTM, or Leader(s) of their land.

3.2: If a citizen murders an ally of AUTM, they will have to return all valuables, money, and gear they obtained from the murder and pay a fine of $200 to the victim. Failure to pay this fine or return these items will result in temporary banishment from AUTM for a period of 1-3 days, as defined by the Leader of AUTM, Co-Leader of AUTM, or Leader(s) of their land.

3.3: If a citizen griefs a house or other personal property in AUTM, they will have to rebuild all damages done, pay a fine of $500 to the victim, and be banished from AUTM. Failure to pay this fine or rebuild the damages will result in the banishment being extended to Treason.

3.4: If a citizen griefs a government or a community building in AUTM, they will have to rebuild all damages done, pay a fine of $600 to the Leader of AUTM, Co-Leader of AUTM, or Leader(s) of their land, and be banished from AUTM. Failure to pay this fine or rebuild the damages will result in the banishment being extended to Treason.

3.5: If a citizen tampers (light griefing, such as digging a hole or placing random blocks) with any personal, communal, or governmental property, they will have to rebuild all damages done. Failure to rebuild the damages will result in temporary banishment from AUTM for a period of 1 day.

3.6: If a citizen repeatedly makes toxic and mean/rude comments about anything related to AUTM, including its members, it as a nation itself, or its allies, or spam pings people (which may include the usage of the @-everyone ping,) that citizen will be time-outed in the discord for a period of 1 day if it was occuring in Discord in all AUTM-related Discord servers, or temporarily banished from AUTM for 1-3 days if occurring in Minecraft.

3.7: If a citizen assists a known enemy of AUTM by giving them military, economic, or any other non-humanitarian aid, who has been specified as a known enemy in a proclamation by the Leader of AUTM or Co-Leader of AUTM, they will receive the punishment of Treason. A Trial will be held after such an accusation.

4.0: On Punishments[]

4.1: Banishment is regarded as being temporarily exiled from AUTM for a period of time seen fit. The Leader of AUTM, Co-Leader of AUTM, or Leader(s) of their land will be responsible for temporarily exiling them.

4.2: Treason is regarded as permanent exile from AUTM and being a permanent KOS. The Leader or Co-Leader of AUTM will be responsible for permanently exiling them. In extreme cases, the Leader or Co-Leader of AUTM may revoke this punishment.

4.3: When multiple persons are eligible to give the fine or punishment, the order of importance is first the Leader of AUTM, then the Co-Leader of AUTM, and finally the Leader(s) of their lands, if applicable.

4.4: Trials are resolved either on Santoria or on Discord, with the judge being either a citizen of AUTM tasked by the Leader of AUTM or Co-Leader of AUTM, or the Leader of AUTM or Co-Leader of AUTM. The accused will be their own defense lawyer, while the prosecutor may be a citizen of AUTM hired by the accusing party or the accusing party themselves. One person may not be more than one role at a time. The defense lawyer starts by their opening statement, followed by the prosecutor. Then, the defense lawyer gives their opening statement countering the prosecutor’s opening statement, followed by the prosecutor giving their closing argument countering the defense lawyer’s opening statement. Finally, the judge decides the result, either ‘Guilty’ or ‘Not Guilty’ and decides the length of time of the banishment if applicable. Opening statements may include presentations of evidence, unlike closing arguments.
